Amsterdam Brain Center

What information do you receive from our research?

Amsterdam Brain Center offers various examinations. Each of these examinations has its own purpose and/or area of research. The first is the Functional Neurological Examination (FNO). During this examination, we can determine which brain functions are disrupted and what symptoms you are experiencing.

In order to assess which treatment is appropriate and to get an idea of the chances of successful treatment, we have three other possible tests after the FNO. Whether these tests are necessary for you depends entirely on your situation and the results of the FNO. The combined information from the FNO and these other tests will give your practitioner the information they need to draw up a treatment plan.

We can therefore give you insight into the extent to which your brain functions deviate from the average of a healthy person. We can also give you a range of the recovery we usually see in a similar situation. The latter is not a prediction, but an indication of what we see based on many hundreds of treatments in our practice.
