About Amsterdam Brain Center
Amsterdam Brain Center specialises in the assessment and treatment of persistent neurological symptoms. We help people who continue to experience problems after a concussion (PCS), acquired brain injury, brain haemorrhage, whiplash or other neurological event.
Our work focuses on understanding how the nervous system is functioning and identifying which factors may be contributing to your symptoms. Based on this assessment, we create a personalised treatment plan.

Your road to recovery
One week of intensive treatment
Step 1
The Functional Neurological Examination (FNE)
You tell us about your symptoms. We will ask you the necessary questions and conduct a complete Neurological Examination. This allows us to determine whether you are a suitable candidate for our treatment.
Step 2
Advanced Machine Testing (quantification)
Based on Step 1, we determine what tests are necessary to quantify the underlying cause of the symptoms. To do this, we use a range of computer-controlled equipment.
Step 3
Rehabilitation week (in 5 days)
We address the problems. Through an individual program specifically tailored to your problems, we bring back function during an intensive week of treatment.
Step 4
Aftercare
After the 5-day intensive treatment week, you will receive homework assignments from us. These exercises are designed to further support your recovery. We are happy to monitor your progress with you.
Where do patients often notice improvement?
Supported by scientific clinical research and findings, our program stimulates and activates the areas of the brain directly involved in your symptoms, leading to improved cognitive functions. The goal is to achieve meaningful and sustainable improvement where possible.
Processing stimuli (light, sound, visual)
Concentration
Control over thoughts and body

Cognitive function
