For whom is Amsterdam Brain Center?

For referrers

You can refer patients to Amsterdam Brain Center for specialist assessment, an intensive treatment programme, consultation or second opinion.

Amsterdam Brain Center

Amsterdam Brain Center is a specialist clinic in Haarlem focusing on persistent neurological symptoms after concussion, acquired brain injury, whiplash and related neurological events.

Each year, we provide more than 200 intensive treatment programmes for patients with long-lasting symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, balance problems, visual complaints and sensory sensitivity. Many patients report improvement after treatment.

What can you expect when referring a patient?

We start with a detailed intake and Functional Neurological Examination to assess how the patient’s nervous system is functioning and which neurological functions may be involved in their symptoms.

Based on the assessment findings, medical history and current limitations, we determine whether our treatment approach may be suitable. If treatment is indicated, we create a personalised intensive treatment programme.

We keep the referring professional informed where appropriate and with the patient’s consent.
